Bullets found in baggage of a tourist departing Maldives from Velana International Airport (VIA) Saturday. The man is now under police custody.

Police said a 60 year old Namibian male is under their custody regarding the incident.

Police said they conducting necessary inquiries in connection to the case.

Police have not disclosed details.

It's not clear whether the tourist had smuggled the bullets into country or got them after his entry.

There were few similar incidents previously and some have been prosecuted.
