Both Police and Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) increased their alert levels following the attack on Former President and Majilis Speaker Mohamed Nasheed
Police revealed that they have increased the alert level to three and that they were investigating the case.
Similarly, MNDF also announced that they have increased security as well as increased their alert level.
Nasheed was injured after an explosion took place as he was getting in his car near his residence around 0830hrs on Thursday evening.
Nasheed was rushed to ADK for treatment. Though he had suffered injuries, his condition was stable, ADK had said in a statement.
In addition to Nasheed, four more people got injured from the incident.
Police, and MNDF are active and investigating the issue.
