President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih condemned the attack on Former President and Majilis Speaker Mohamed Nasheed.
He visited ADK hospital, where Nasheed is undergoing to treatment to inquire about his condition.
In an attack outside Nasheed's house, he was injured in addition to two others on Thursday night. They were swiftly taken to ADK hospital for treatment.
President Solih assured that the incident was under further investigated by the police.
Mabrook Abdul Azeez, Spokesperson to the President, has said that the President will be meeting the National Security Council members later in Thursday night.
Large amounts of people gathered at scene after the explosion and at ADK as well. Police have urged the public to stay indoors, especially considering the curfew the Greater Male' Area is in effect from 2100hrs, following COVID-19 spike.
