President appoints new Broadcasting Commission member

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Sunday appointed a new member to the Maldives Broadcasting Commission (MBC).

The new appointee, Mohamed Fazeen was given his Letter of Appointment by President Solih during a ceremony held at the President's Office.

After the ceremony, the President held a discussion with Fazeen on issues related to the broadcasting sector.

Fazeen graduated with a Diploma in Information Technology from Villa College in July 2010. In March 2012, he began his journalism career with a local news outlet, Channel News Maldives (CNM) and later served as a Senior Video Journalist at Raajje TV from February 2014.

Additionally, he has a background in hotel management and operations.

MBC is an independent body mandated with governing the implementation of the Broadcasting Act's implementation.
