President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, on Thursday, departed on a visit to Laamu Atoll.
According to the President's Office, the President first visited Kadhdhoo Island, inspecting a training demonstration held at at the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Central Area Headquarters.
The President was accompanied by Minister of Defense Mariya Ahmed Didi and other senior MNDF officials.
The training, which aimed at enhancing the skills and readiness of Maldivian soldiers, began on November 16 and concluded on December 3.
Furthermore, President Solih will visit Gan Island, where he will inaugurate the Gan Central Power Plant, the Gan Zone Stadium and a CT scan service at the Gan Regional Hospital.
The President also mt with the community to discuss their concerns.
