Maldives Police Service revealed that an expatriate passed away at Adaaran Club Rannalhi following an electrical incident on Sunday night.

According to the police, the deceased is a male Sri Lankan national.

After the incident occurred at approximately 1830 hrs, the expatriate was transported to the Health Centre of Maafushi, Kaafu Atoll by around 1930 hrs.

The police were notified regarding the matter at approximately 2000 hrs.

Although no additional details were disclosed, the police assured that further investigations regarding the incident were underway.
