The Ministry of Education announced slots for local teachers to replace expatriate teachers in the coming academic year.
In a notice issued by the Education Ministry, it announced that local teachers are to replace the slots of expatriate teachers whose contracts ended last September 30. The ministry added that expats were given the jobs as no local teachers had been available for those slots at the time.
The new academic year will begin January 8 while local teachers are needed in almost all the schools.
The number of teachers are set according to the number of students registered in each school.
