Former English football superstar David Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham with their children will celebrate New Year’s Eve this year with an exclusive glamorous party in the Maldives.
According to British media, the Beckham couple will be staying in Amilla Fushi Resort in Baa atoll with their four children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper. Beckham has invited two of his closest friends, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana Ramsay, as the chief guests of their New Year party.
The family had also celebrated New Year in 2012 and 2015 in the Maldives. However, this year’s celebration promises to be something special with Victoria Beckham’s former Spice Girls band mate, Melanie C, to perform at the party, joined by her partner Joe Marshall.
“Victoria has been the instigator for the whole trip,” British tabloid newspaper The Sun quoted a source as saying. “There was no way Mel was going to turn down the invite as the gig will be something special.”
Other celebrities have also been invited to perform at the exclusive party though British media have not revealed further details.
David Beckham, who has described the Maldives as a favourite holiday getaway on various occasions, had vacationed in the archipelago with his family numerous times in the past, often staying at One & Only Reethi Rah resort including the past two years.
