Maldives Police Service on Sunday arrested a 30-year-old man from the island of Fenfushi, Alif Dhaalu Atoll, for allegedly biting the nose of his spouse.

According to authorities, the case of domestic aggravation preceded an altercation between the two at approximately 01:00 hrs. Physical indications of the aggression were seen on the woman, as per Police reports.

Maamigili Magistrate Court remanded the man for five days.

Police is currently investigating the matter.
