Center for Mental Health introduces service to renew prescriptions via telephone

Centre for Mental Health (CMH), on Monday, introduced a service to renew prescriptions for regular medication via telephone.

According to CHM, established at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), the aforementioned service would be supplemented by offering phone consultations for regular patients before renewing medication.

Patients that have previously consulted a CMH doctor can call 3335245 between 0900 and 1400 hrs to obtain the service.

According to CMH, the new services were introduced in accordance with the Health Protection Agency (HPA)'s measures to limit public gatherings as part of the government-led efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Maldives now has 18 confirmed and five active cases of COVID-19, with a total of 13 recoveries. Three of the active cases are Maldivian citizens.

The World Health Organization has classified the spread of COVID-19 as a global pandemic. The novel coronavirus has infected over 785, 800 people and claimed over 37,800 lives around the world. However, out of those infected, more than 165, 000 people have recovered.
