Health Protection Agency (HPA) on Saturday announced via Health Ministry of two new recovery cases of COVID-19 in Maldives.
With these updates, the total number of recovery cases in Maldives is at 11.
Till date, Maldives confirmed a total of 16 COVID-19 cases. From this, one case is local while the rest are foreigners who are either tourists or resort staff working in the country.
At the moment, there are 824 placed in quarantine facilities and 20 people placed in isolation.
The World Health Organization has classified the spread of COVID-19 as a global pandemic. The novel coronavirus has infected more than 597,000 and claimed over 27,000 lives around the world. However, out of those infected, more than 133,000 have recovered.
