President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih appointed the former vice chairman and commissioner of Elections Commission, Amjad Musthafa, as the new president of the Employment Tribunal on Monday.
The president also appointed former director general at the Prosecutor General's Office, Hassan Ibrahim, as a new member of the Tribunal.
The two new appointees were sworn in at a special ceremony held at the President's Office.
The new president of the Employment Tribunal, Amjad Musthafa, holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Anglia Ruskin University (UK), in Sri Lanka, and a Bachelor of Arts in Shari’ah and Law from the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM).
He had also served as a Board Director of Maldives Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC).
Hassan Ibrahim holds a Master's Degree in Management from Australian National University, Australia, and a Bachelor of Arts in Shari’ah and Law from IUM.
He previously served as Head of Department, MBA course coordinator and lecturer at Maldives National University (MNU)'s Business School.
