CEO of state orphanage relieved of duties over HRCM probe

The CEO of the state orphanage 'Kudakudhinge Hiyaa' located in suburb Vilimale', Abdul Shukoor Abdul Hakeem, was relieved of his duties on Thursday.

Shukoor, whose appointment is ranked at the level of State Minister, was relieved of his duties over an investigation launched into him by the Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM).

Local media reports that measures were taken against Shukoor on the commission's orders.

However, no details were revealed about the investigation.
