JSC to probe another case against High Court Chief Judge

Judicial Service Commission (JSC) on Thursday, announced its decision to investigate another case against High Court (HC) Chief Judge Shujau Usman along with a number of other judges.

In addition to Judge Shujau, JSC is investigating cases lodged against Gaafu Alif Atoll's Maamendhoo Magistrate Judge Ahmed Shukoor and Family Court Judge Abdulla Adeeb.

An investigative committee was formulated by the commission to investigate the cases. JSC did not reveal further information.

As reported by JSC, the commission also decided to replace suspended Chief Magistrate for the Dhaalu Atoll Judicial Constituency, Abdul Razzaq Mohamed with Dhaalu Atoll's Kudahuvadhoo Magistrate Abdul Gadhir Adam.

JSC had previously tabled and formulated a committee to investigate another case against Judge Shujau.
