Maldives Police Service on Sunday arrested three people over consumption and selling of alcohol in a restaurant located in capital city Male'.
According to a police spokesperson, they received reports of the illegal activities early Sunday.
Police arrested three people and found several bottles containing suspected liquor in their backpacks.
Police revealed that two Maldivians aged 50 and 34, and a Sri Lankan, aged 38 were under their custody.
The matter is being investigated by Police.
