Maldives appoints Aminath Abdulla Didi as first Consul General

Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid on Sunday announced the appointment of Aminath Abdulla Didi as Consul General of the Maldivian Consulate in Thiruvananthapuram, India.

Aminath was presented the letter of appointment by Minister Shahid.

This marks the first time for Maldives to establish a Consulate General overseas.

Prior to her appointment, Aminath was serving as the Permanent Secretary at the Foreign Ministry. Additionally, she served in various positions in the ministry over a 17-year career in foreign affairs.

She acquired a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Bangalore University in India, and her Master's Degree in International Relations from Monash University, Australia.
