A ceiling of Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) partially collapsed on Saturday, injuring a 14-year-old minor.
According to local media Mihaaru, an eye-witness placed the location of the collapse as the waiting area adjacent to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), adding that multiple people were present in the area.
"However, the child did not suffer major injuries", said an IGMH spokesperson, confirming the witness testimony.
IGMH is currently investigating the matter.
The state hospital has been undergoing renovations due to the poor conditions of various, older parts of the building.
