Vice President Faisal Naseem, on Wednesday, inaugurated the Dialysis Centre in Fuvahmulah City.
According to the Ministry of Health, the centre has a capacity of three in-patient beds.
Outside of capital city Male', there are 60 individuals in 7 regions that currently undergo dialysis treatment.
The resident nephrologist at Addu City will visit the centre, on a minimum, once every three months.
