Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen on Wednesday, officially launched Public Health Fund under the Public Health Protection Act.
The fund was officially inaugurated at the 'National Forum on Revitalizing Public Health: Working Together for a Healthier Nation' conference held at Paradise Island Resort.
Speaking at the inauguration session of the conference, Minister Ameen expressed happiness at being able to launch the fund. He urged the affluent to come forth and aid the fund.
The Minister also assured that the ministry would work to attain funds internationally as well.
Although the Public Health Protection Act was passed in 2012, the fund was not lunched until now.
