President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, on Tuesday, declared November 10, 2019, as a public holiday.

The decision was finalised since the date falls between two previously designated national holidays.

November 11 is annually marked as Republic Day and is the historically favoured date for presidential inaugurations.

Meanwhile, the day preceding will be marked as Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) Eid Milad ul-Nabi. The date is annually commemorated on the 12th day of Rabi’ al-Awwal of the Islamic calendar, which falls on November 9 in 2019.
