Police launch operation after minors steal chemicals from school

Maldives Police Service on Sunday night launched an operation after minors reportedly stole chemicals from a school laboratory in an attempt to craft an explosive device.

According to Police, the search operation resulted in the seizure of the materials allegedly used as compounds in the homemade explosive. However, no arrests were made.

Police did not disclose further information regarding the matter.
