SAARC to hold boot camp for startups in Maldives

South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC)'s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) is scheduled to conduct a start-up boot camp in Maldives.

SAARC CCI actively hosts similar boot camps in regional countries lacking feasible environments to provide a boost for promising businesses.

The boot camp will be held at Maagiri Hotel in capital Male' from 24 to 26 September in collaboration with Women In Tech Maldives. Interested participants can register for the camp by filling SAARC's google form at https://tinyurl.com/y4obmtdu, before 22 of this month.

Start-ups can take part in the camp in five different categories, including Tourism, E-commerce, Tech Intensive Enterprises, Businesses of Regional in Nature and Women Entrepreneurs.

Event activities during the camp include sessions on organising and forming startup entities, pitching workshops, marketing workshops and financing workshops as well.

The five most promising companies chosen amongst the participants will receive online mentor-ship from experts of SAARC's Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

These five start-ups will be made part of the SAARC CCI's delegation which will attend China South Asia Business Forum (CSABF) and Confederation of Asia Pacific Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACCI), in addition to World Chamber forums.

Moreover, the most notable out of the selected five start-ups will have the chance to compete for the SAARC Start-up Award hosted by SAARC's Chamber of Commerce.

Similar boot camps are also scheduled to take place in Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri Lanka.
