Cocoon Maldives, in collaboration with Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), is preparing to host the second iteration of the Maldives International Kite Festival.

Following its success in 2018, this year features kite-flying champions Edy Angelino of Italy, Guilherme Linares Palau of Brazil, and Daniel Y. Wu of China, who will showcase live kite performances and their signature techniques for the attending visitors.

The first event of the festival kicks off at Ekuveni Cricket Ground in capital Male City on September 28, while the second event is scheduled to take place in Hinnavaru, Lhaviyani Atoll on October 4. Cocoon Maldives will also hold a Kite Exhibition week at the resort from September 28 to October 3.

"This will be a delighting opportunity for the public to experience live kite flying techniques and formations of Kite flying champions from Italy, Brazil and China", said Cocoon Maldives.

Visitors will also receive free gifts at the lively festival, with one lucky winner from the public set to receive a free holiday at the five-star resort located in Lhaviyani Atoll.
