Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure, on Thursday, contracted the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) to develop a water and sewerage system in Gaadhiffushi, Thaa Atoll.
The agreement signed at the Planning Ministry allocates a budget of MVR 21 million for the project which must be completed within a two-year duration.
Signing on behalf of MTCC was the company's Chief Operating Officer (COO) Shahid Hussain Moosa while the ministry was represented by Director General Fathmath Shaana Faarooq.
The project will involve the establishment of a Reverse Osmosis plant and a water storage tank.
