A Bangladeshi expatriate on Wednesday, fell from the second storey of a construction site.

According to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), the 27-year-old man did not suffer critical injuries.

Revealing that the Bangladeshi fell at approximately 1030 hrs, Maldives Police Service stated that further investigations were ongoing.

Multiple deaths have occurred in recent history as a result of falling debris from construction sites, including the death of an expatriate worker killed by a falling jumbo bag of cement sacks and the untimely passing of a 7-year old Bangladeshi girl after a bag of cement fell from the fifth storey of building under construction.
