Ahmed Shiyau, on Monday, was appointed the Permanent Secretary of the Attorney General's Office.
The letter of appointment was handed over by President of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Dr Ali Shameem at a ceremony held at the AG Office.
Shiyau, who acquired a Masters of Business Administration, previously served as a Director at both the Ministry of Defence and the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM). Furthermore, he held high ranking positions in several private companies and possesses considerable experience in administration and human resources.
CSC appoints Permanent Secretaries to ministers based on recommendations given by respective ministers.
