Minister Shahid sends Independence Day greetings to Brazil

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid, on Saturday, sent felicitations to the Brazilian Minister for External Relations Ernesto Henrique Fraga Araújo on the occasion of Independence Day.

“It is my pleasure to convey sincere felicitations and warm greetings to your excellency, the government and the people of the Federative Republic of Brazil."

Minister Shahid also wished good health to his Brazilian counterpart and expressed hopes of further progress to the people of Brazil.

September 7 is celebrated annually as the day Brazil achieved independence from the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and the Algarves in 1822.
