'Students safe' says Foreign Ministry over Indian Hospital fire

The Maldives Embassy in India, on Saturday, declared that all Maldivians studying MBBS at the AIIMS Hospital in New Delhi, India, were all safe following a fire that broke out at the teaching block.

No casualties have been reported.

The embassy adviced individuals to come forward with any concerns by contacting the Embassy via +919910032757 or the Ministry through +9607983400

A spokesperson for the Delhi Fire Services told the Press Trust of India (PTI) that the fire was reported at approximately 1700 hrs.

The fire has since been controlled.
