The Maldivian Ambassador to China, Aishath Azeema, paid a courtesy call on Vice President Faisal Naseem on Wednesday.
During the meeting that took place at the President's Office, the vice president and ambassador commented on the close relations between China and Maldives, noting the contributions made to improve the socioeconomic status of Maldives across various sectors including health, education and tourism.
Ambassador Azeema also highlighted China's invaluable services in the field of education in collaboration with relevant government institutions, and further touched upon other contributions made to key sectors.
She reiterated her keenness to engage with the Chinese government regarding all mandated sectors and to increase tourism relations between the two nations.
