First Lady Fazna Ahmed, on Friday, toured the Seychellois National History Museum and visited Perseverance Secondary School.
The first lady was introduced to Seychelle’s rich culture and traditions through a guided tour of the National History Museum led by Seychelle’s Principal Secretary for Culture Cecile Kalebi.
Minister for Education and Human Resource Development Jeanne Simeon received the First Lady at the Perseverance Secondary School and provided a tour. First Lady Fazna inspected the school’s facilities and was informed of certain educational policies implemented by the Seychellois government.
The First Lady was then escorted to Seychelles Department of Foreign Affairs to meet a group of young women that will commence undergraduate studies shortly.
First Lady Fazna Ahmed and the prospective students discussed some challenges faced by women over the course of their educational journeys and ways to overcome such obstacles.
The aforementioned activities were conducted on the sidelines of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's ongoing state trip to Seychelles.
