Tree Top Hospital, on Tuesday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) aimed at promoting good nutrition and healthier lifestyles, for children and their families.
Treetop CEO David Feinberg and UNICEF Ambassador to Maldives Dr Muneera Safeeldeen signed the agreement at a ceremony held at the hospital.
Predicting beneficial results from the partnership, CEO Feinberg described the signing of the MoU "an honour".
UNICEF's Regional Director for South Asia Jean Gough revealed that efforts to make TreeTop Hospital more child-friendly would be undertaken as per the terms of the MoU. She expressed that such an atmosphere was crucial for the encouragement of breastfeeding following childbirth and closer child-parent relationships.
Treetop Hospital also announced plans to collaborate with the government to provide dental and orthodontic services to school students, thereby increasing the scope of its services.
