Police, on Wednesday, arrested two men and one minor for drug possession in the capital city of Male'.

The two men, aged 42 and 38, were arrested along with an individual below 18 years of age, at a residence in the Henveiru ward of Male' with 1.15 kilograms of suspected drugs.

The police operation was carried out after receiving intelligence that drug deals were conducted at the house.

The police will conduct further investigations regarding the matter.

Furthermore, the police are currently spearheading several efforts to curb drug peddling in Maldives.
