The Maldivian Embassy located in the United Kingdom (UK), on Thursday, donated books to the Ministry of Education.
At a ceremony held at the ministry, Maldivian Ambassador to the UK Dr Farahanaaz Faisal presented approximately 200 books of different genres to Education Minister Dr Aishath Ali.

The book donation was conducted with support from Friends of Maldives (FOM), a UK-based voluntary association and activist organisation which aims to promote human rights reform and assist development efforts in Maldives.
During her address at the ceremony, Dr Farahanaaz revealed that the embassy planned to carry out additional book donations in the future.
The Education Ministry stated that the donated books would be distributed to schools across Maldives with the least amount of books.
