Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid departed to Germany on Monday morning to attend the Berlin Climate and Security Conference.
The conference is scheduled for June 4 in Berlin.
This conference brings together governments, international organizations, the private sector and civil society as well as research and academia at the highest level to discuss the growing risks of of climate change on peace and security.
Discussions of the conference will focus on possible solutions needed for the future and preventative foreign and security policy.
During this visit, Minister Shahid will also attend the Fourth German-Asian Business Dialogue which will take place on June 5, 2019. Additionally, he will hold meetings with senior officials from the German government.
The Minister is attending the Berlin Climate and Security Conference on the invitation extended by Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany Heiko Maas.
