Three people were injured in two separate incidents where glass sheets fell from buildings in capital city Male on Monday.
One of the glass sheets fell from a mosque under construction in Maafannu ward injuring two expatriates. According to Maldives Police Service however, their injuries were not severe.
Nevertheless, Police revealed that the two were taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) to receive medical treatment, and that Police were involved in security measures in the area.
Furthermore, Police said that the two expatriates injured in the incident were both wearing protective gear.
Moreover, a 36-year-old female pedestrian was injured after being struck by a falling glass sheet from the fourth floor of Male' Grand at 1200 hours. She also did not receive major injuries.
Police is currently investigating the two incidents.
