The Indian government granted MVR 7 million to fund several projects at the Police Academy’s Specialised Training School in Vaanee, Dhaalu Atoll, revealed Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.

The Police Academy provides modern training to police officers, along with the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties efficiently and effectively.

The ministry noted that the grant assistance was provided through the MVR 100 million granted to Maldives by India during the visit of Indian Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj in March, 2019.

The grant assistance aims to conduct high impact socio-economic development projects across the Maldives.
