National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), on Friday, stated that the public's cooperation is vital in the fight against terrorism and assured that the identities of those providing information on acts of terrorism will not be disclosed.

According to a tweet by NCTC, any individuals with such information can contact the centre's hotline 1615, or email to [email protected].

The statement was made by NCTC following strengthened border control and other security measures following the recent Easter terror attacks in Sri Lanka.

Moreover, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih had previously assured that the government is attempting to devise a plan to implement the necessary actions in such a situation.

A tweet by Minister of Defence Mariya Ahmed Didi called for the public to be alert on such matters, and stated that no act of terrorism should be allowed to take place.
