State Trading Organization (STO) has introduced eggs and potatoes to the market in preparation for the upcoming month of Ramadan.
STO announced that a case of eggs is currently being sold at MVR 320, at the rate of MVR 2 per egg.
Meanwhile, a kilogram of potatoes is available for MVR 18, while a sack is priced at MVR 310.
These products can be purchased at the STO Wholesale Center and STO Warehouse in the Industrial Village Zone, as well as at STO People's Choice for retail customers.
For this Ramadan, STO has imported 24 essential items, including onions, potatoes, and eggs, similar to previous years.
The company stated that its goal is to ensure the availability of these basic food items at reasonable prices, as demand for such products increases significantly during Ramadan. STO also noted that while prices may be adjusted in response to market fluctuations in certain areas, under normal circumstances, they will remain consistent across all STO regional outlets.
STO has also recently reduced the price of onions. Previously sold at MVR 16 per kilogram, onions are now available at MVR 14 per kilogram, with a sack priced at MVR 310.
In addition to eggs, potatoes, and onions, STO has also introduced coconuts and lemons to the market as well.
