After former Chair Aneesa Ahmed resigned from her position, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Ahmed Shakir [Kashima Shakir] as the Chairperson of the National Awards Committee.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Ahmed Shakir [Kashima Shakir] as the Chairperson of the National Awards Committee.
Shakir was appointed to the position after former Chair, Aneesa Ahmed, handed in her resignation based on health reasons.
In addition to the position of Chairman, an additional member of the committee has also been changed.
Committee member Ibrahim Ismail Ali of Maafannu Mahma Villa left the committee to take up the a position of State Minister for Social and Family Development in this administration.
In his stead, the President appointed BadrNaseer of Mahchangolhi Viluveli as a member of the National Awards Committee.
