Police have said that as of now, sixteen people have provided information via the portal set up under the ongoing investigation into the Binveriya and Gedhoruveriya housing schemes.
Police said that while sixteen people have reported in the past ten days, four of them have also submitted supporting documents via the portal.
The portal was launched on December 21.
Police said that the public can still continue to submit reports of irregularities or any issues within the housing schemes via this portal.
They said that submittals can also be made either anonymously, or with contact details allowing investigators to reach out if necessary.
They assured that confidentiality will be held on all information submitted via the portal.
Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau has previously said that complaints submitted via the portal will be thoroughly investigated, and criminal charges pressed where necessary.
The Prosecutor General ordered Police and the Anti Corruption Commission to conduct an investigation into Binveriya and Gedhoruveriya housing schemes on December 19.
