The flight will also be flying to Shanghai and Beijing. Maldivian has previously said that the destinations have been decided upon based on from which cities most tourists fly to the Maldives.

With the acquisition of this flight, Maldivian's fleet has now increased to 25 planes. Currently, Maldivian flies to 29 destinations. In 2024, Maldivian operated 50,000 flights, carrying 1 million passengers.
