Every year at the Maldives Marine Expo, Alia gives away an engine to one lucky winner. This year, over a thousand people participated in the promotion, where visitors to the Alia Yamaha stall had the opportunity to fill out a coupon for the chance to win a Yamaha 50 horsepower outboard engine.

The opportunity to participate in the lucky draw will be available until 10:00 pm tonight.

Alia's Marketing Manager, Ahmed Aseel, shared that the company presents a different engine at the expo each year. This year, they are offering a Yamaha 50 horsepower outboard engine, valued at approximately MVR 125,000.

"This engine is known for its low fuel consumption and high speed, making it ideal for small and medium-sized vessels. It has also been tested in Maldivian waters," Aseel said.

In addition to the promotion, Alia is offering special discounts for both full payment and installment customers who make advance payments.

Aseel said that Alia's stall had received positive response, noting the popularity and trust Yamaha enjoys among locals. He also added that the company is working on introducing a Yamaha 350 horsepower outboard engine, which is currently being tested in Maldivian waters.

All Yamaha engines are tested and modified to meet the unique conditions of the Maldives before they are introduced to the market.

At this year's Marine Expo, Alia also introduced a four-engine control joystick system, designed to strengthen and simplify the transportation system.

The Marine Expo, which began last Thursday, will run until tonight, from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm, at Central Park in Hulhumale'.

Alia has been a key player in the Maldivian maritime industry for over 60 years and has been the authorized distributor of Yamaha engines in the country for more than 50 years. Customers also enjoy availability of Yamaha spare parts and high-quality after-sales service.
