Saudi Arabia has donated another 10 tonnes of dates to Maldives.
This follows an earlier donation of 50 tonnes of dates, which have already been distributed to households.
The official handover ceremony took place yesterday, where Saudi Ambassador to Maldives, Matrek Abdullah Al-Ajalin Al-Dussari, presented the donation, with Islamic Minister Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed receiving it on behalf of Maldives.
Minister Shaheem expressed gratitude, highlighting the donation as a testament to the strong ties between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia.
In addition to households, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs has also distributed dates to organizations that arrange Ramadan iftar meals.
