Discussions held with Estonia for educational opportunities for Maldivians

During the meeting, President Muizzu highlighted the importance of expanding educational opportunities for Maldivian youth and explored the possibility of scholarships and other forms of support from Estonia for Maldivian students.

Minister of Education and Research of Estonia Kristina Kallas paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Muizzu at the Ministry of Education and Research in Estonia yesterday.

During the meeting, President Muizzu expressed interest in drawing inspiration from Estonia’s successes to enhance the Maldives’ education system and praised Estonia for its innovative approaches to learning.

President Muizzu highlighted the importance of expanding educational opportunities for Maldivian youth and explored the possibility of scholarships and other forms of support from Estonia for Maldivian students.

The two countries also discussed scholarship opportunities in Estonia for Maldivian students and fostering collaboration in the education sector, with both sides identifying opportunities for knowledge sharing, capacity building, and partnerships.

President Muizzu and the Estonian Minister of Education held discussions on cooperation in the field of education, during which both countries pledged to strengthen ties through educational opportunities and innovation.

President Muizzu is currently in Estonia at the invitation of the Estonian President Dr Alar Kris.
