Bank of Maldives (BML) has gifted 300 bicycles to 6 islands, in collaboration with NGOs in the islands.
Bank of Maldives (BML) has gifted 300 bicycles to 6 islands, in collaboration with NGOs in the islands.
The islands that received these bicycles are Haa Alif atoll Dhihdhoo, Baa atoll Eydhafushi, Kaafu atoll Maafushi, Noonu atoll Manadhoo, Meemu atoll Mulah and Gaafu Alif atoll Vilin'gili.
The bicycles are suited for children aged between 14 to 17 years.
BML said that their aim in gifting these bicycles is to promote physical wellbeing amongst youth and to encourage use of environmentally friendly transport options.
BML also frequently organizes programs in support of sports, health and environment.
