Maldivian said the airline's first wide-body aircraft, the Airbus A-330, will be launched on Monday. The air show will be held in Malé and Hulhumalé, and those who capture pictures and footage of the airshow will be able to participate in the competition, the airline said. Participants need not be a professional photographer or videographer to enter the competition, they also reminded.
Participants can enter the contest by posting videos and photos of the air show on Facebook, Instagram or X. Photos or videos have to be posted with the hashtag #MaldivianAeroAirshow. Users must also have public accounts and have to tag Maldivian's official social media channel.
The winner will receive a two-night stay at a five-star resort with air transfer for two and an Airbus A330-200 aircraft model. The runner-up will receive a return ticket for two to Trivandrum or Cochin, India and an Airbus A330-200 aircraft model. The second runner up will receive a return ticket for two to a domestic destination and an Airbus A330-200 aircraft model.
Maldivian will hold the air show on Monday from 5:00 to 5:30 pm which can be seen from the Malé 'Usfasgan'du' area and the eastern side's beach of Hulhumalé Phase 1 and Phase 2.
