Police have last night launched a portal through which the public can submit any issues or information regarding their investigation into the Binveriya and Gedhoruveriya housing schemes.
Police have last night launched a portal through which the public can submit any issues or information regarding their investigation into the Binveriya and Gedhoruveriya housing schemes.
Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau said that they would accept any complaints from when the schemes started till now, and investigate it to the fullest.
He appeals to the public to notify them if there are any instances of action having been taken against policies. Any information, photos, videos or documents of suspicious activity related to this investigation can be submitted.
Shujau added that based on the information received via the portal, they would initiate criminal investigations where necessary, and forward for pressing charges.
Police and the Anti Corruption Commission were ordered by the Prosecutor General to commence a criminal investigation into these housing schemes on last Thursday.
