Police have arrested a Maldivian woman for taking a Bangladeshi man to a house in Male' under false pretenses, and then robbing him at knifepoint.
The person arrested in the case has been identified as Fathimath Ali, 37, of Ma. Fortune.
The incident occurred around 22:00 hrs on Wednesday night.
The amount that was robbed has not been disclosed.
Ali has been placed in remand in custody for a period of 15 days.
Police said that they are currently searching for a man believed to have colluded with Ali in the crime. However, police has not revealed the identity of this man yet.
