VAM (Volleyball Association of Maldives) has announced a special beach volleyball tournament for islands and cities.
The tournament, which will be held in Male', will be organized according to administrative divisions as specified in the Decentralization Act, according to VAM.
The 'Maldives Beach Volleyball League', teams representing each island or city must only include players who belong to that particular island or city.
VAM stated that for this tournament, which is open to both genders, each island can register four players; two players each for the men's and women's divisions.
The tournament will begin on April 2nd, and the deadline for registration is 11:00 AM on March 23.
The registration fee for participating in the tournament is MVR 2,500. VAM has set the prize money at MVR 20,000.
