The man who was found injured in the sea area near Dharumavantha Hospital earlier today has passed, authorities confirmed.
Police said the man passed away while receiving treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) due to head injuries likely from being struck by a vessel that travelled in that area.
Reports say there was a landing craft in the area where the man was in the sea, and that the landing craft likely went over him.
Swimming in the area is prohibited.
